"I don't really like people who go around brandishing the banner of justice. No matter the reason, where humans are involved, there is no black or white, no justice or evil--there is only our will." - Pandora
I really like this quote from Pandora; it kind of reflects my opinion. There is no ultimate goodness or evil. I think that if Lena tries, she can "fight" the darkness, and reach the light no matter what. Thus, I chose to depict her catching/grasping the "light" even though the darkness is trying to engulf her (the lace, the clothes, etc.). So yes, this is supposed to be Lena of the Light. Lots of symbolism I tried to tie in, but I don't want to name them all and weigh the image down with it. Especially since people will have contrasting views on the symbolism.
Edit: Added her necklace, Intensified colors & sharpened image I didn't put her necklace because it seemed out of place when I first sketched it, but I will try to do something in the next couple of hours so this might change a little... Had a lot of fun pulling this one off and quite proud of the result, even if the final product isn't quite my initial expectations, haha. Hope you guys enjoy it too!
Edit2: Oh my goodness! I'm one of the semifinalists! o___o Thank you so much for the honor. If anyone has suggestions to further improve the work, do let me know! : )
